Psalm 103 1-5 "Bless the Lord, O my soul;" blessing 1 And all that is within me, bless His holy name!" blessing 2 "2 Bless the Lord, O my soul, " blessing 3 (signature of 3) And forget not all His benefits: 3 Who forgives all your iniquities, Who heals all your diseases,- (foretold here, this happened on the cross) "4 Who redeems your life from destruction, Who crowns you with loving kindness and tender mercies,5 Who satisfies your mouth with good things," (from the table of Psalm 23) "So that your youth is renewed like the eagle’s."

Bible Benefits

Websters def. benefit: Advantage; profit; a word of extensive use, and expressing whatever contributes to promote prosperity and personal happiness, or add value to property.

Bible benefits abound in Old and New Testaments. They were pointed out from Old Testament scriptures and some foretold actual New Testament benefits after the cross. Primary among all others is knowing and walking with God. We think of Abraham, Enoch, Moses, Joshua, Caleb, and many others, whom God revealed Himself to and spoke to during their lifetimes. Hebrews 11:1 says, " For by faith the elders obtained a good testimony." Faith is the key word then and now by which we are enabled to walk with and please God. But the entrance into this Kingdom of benefits begins with New Birth. God reaching into the earth space, where we are, at our request, (per His plan), and making alive our spirit, giving us eternal privileges. This is a package deal and we are going to explore these added benefits tonight.

1 John 5:4 "For whatever is born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the world - our faith"

John 3:5 Jesus answered, “Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God"

1 Peter 1:23 "having been born again, not of corruptible seed but incorruptible, through the word of God which lives and abides forever" (they heard and received, and became born again!)

1 John 5:18 "We know that whoever is born of God does not sin; but he who has been born of God keeps himself, and the wicked one does not" (cannot touch him)

Galatians 3:29 "And if you are Christ’s, then you are Abraham’s seed, and heirs according to the promise"

Galatians 3:13-14 "Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us (for it is written, “Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree”), 14 that the blessing of Abraham might come upon the Gentiles in Christ Jesus, that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith"

Websters- blessing - A solemn prophetic benediction,(promise) in which happiness is desired, invoked or foretold. Any means of happiness; a gift, benefit or advantage; that which promotes temporal prosperity and welfare, or secures eternal life. (defined much the same as the word benefit.)

Websters- promise- In Scripture, the promise of God is the declaration or assurance which God has given in his Word of bestowing blessings on his people. Such assurance resting on the perfect justice, power, benevolence and immutable veracity of God, cannot fail of performance.

Galatians 5:22-24 "But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness, self-control. Against such there is no law. 24 And those who are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires"

1 Peter 3:18 "For Christ also suffered once for sins, the just for the unjust, that He might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh but made alive by the Spirit,"

2 John 1:4 "I rejoiced greatly that I have found some of your children walking in truth, as we received commandment from the Father."

Number 1 benefit is forgiveness of sin and eternal life with God our Father. From the 1st and most important benefit are all the other benefits released by God. Healing of anything you can imagine! Deliverance from anything against you, protection from all evil, demonic or human or our own mistakes!

2 Peter 3:4 "The Lord is not slack concerning his promises."

Galatians 3:29 "And if you are Christ’s, then you are Abraham’s seed, and heirs according to the promise." (heirs have benefits!)

2 Peter 1:3 " as His divine power has given to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of Him who called us by glory and virtue."

Psalm 23:5 "You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies; You anoint my head with oil; My cup runs over." Hebrew definition:. kings table, private table, sacred use (as in tabernacle) From shalach; a table (as spread out); by implication, a meal.

Galatians 3:14 -"That the blessing of Abraham might come upon the Gentiles in Christ Jesus, that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith."

By faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the Word of God, so that the things which are seen were not made of things which are visible.

What is the meal on the table? Promise(s) of the Spirit , received through faith. When you put faith in a promise of God, you are not aware of physical evidence that you have it. Nothing in the natural realm is saying it is here or there. Then where is it? Romans 10:8 “The Word is near you, in your mouth and in your heart” (that is, the word of faith which we preach). We are saying that faith in your heart is the evidence of things not seen, (it is also the substance).

Hebrews 11:3 - "By faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the Word of God, so that the things which are seen were not made of things which are visible.." So if you can't see it, and God promised it, you can obtain it through faith in His Word. This is promise of the Spirit (God), who made what He promised obtainable through faith. Since there was no "use by" date printed on the Word, time still exists to have faith and receive.

Remember we need to start living in the blessing and not from miracle to crisis, to miracle! Miracles are a crisis alleviator! People too lazy or busy to plow and plant their field are not going to have a harvest to reap. (We are merciful to those who are learning and those with no knowledge. But we need to give them a shovel so they can receive benefits also!) Sure government assistance could be the way to survive a crisis but is not the blessing of God! It might be man's benefits, but not God's. No condemnation here!

When the farmer plants a crop, is it for eating then or later? How many months later? Future later. Seedtime and harvest depend on some conditions. What are they? Amount of sunlight, rain, soil, nutrients, lack of weeds, pests, high winds, etc. You have to plant when the soil temperature is right up north here! You can't throw seed onto the frozen tundra and expect a summertime harvest!

Psalm 23 -So we are seated at the King's table which He has prepared for us in the presence of my enemies. Sounds personal. It is. He is fixing to show those enemies a thing or two! 1) For one thing they cannot sit down with you and partake of the faith supper you will partake of. They are like hungry lions who have to watch you eat. 2) He anoints your head with oil. The priests in Leviticus put oil on the head of the person to be cleansed. Moses poured oil on the head of Aaron to consecrate him. Prophets would pour a flask of oil on the person the Lord indicated would be the next King of Israel. Mark 14:3 - "And being in Bethany at the house of Simon the leper, as He sat at the table, a woman came having an alabaster flask of very costly oil of spikenard. Then she broke the flask and poured it on His head." Jesus said it was for His burial. The King of Kings! He forgave her sins and said her faith has saved her.

You are anointed with oil and then you receive overflowing blessing . Oil was a type of the Holy Spirit in the Old Testament! God's own authority and power rests on you if you've received Jesus. My cup is overflowing with abundance. Too much to contain! Think about when Jesus told the disciples to feed the five thousand or cast your nets in for a catch! We haven't experienced the abundance of God yet. Maybe we should start expecting.

Ecclesiastes 9:8 "Let your garments always be white, And let your head lack no oil!"

The Blessing of Benefits

Is the Bible saying we should all be hoarders? Have enough to give to him that needs it? Have Donald Trump kind of wealth? King Solomon wealth? What are your thoughts? If we were to look back from Heaven in the far away future and see what we could have had when we were on the earth? How different would your life have looked if you knew what you know now, (in Heaven)? If only I had not limited God! If only I had spent more time learning to do things His way! Don't go with regrets. I don't plan to. God is not into regrets.

One thing I believe is that our Father is not holding out on us. Do you believe that? So if He is not holding out on us and we have needs, then we need knowledge and implementation of the Word.

When we go to pray for someone, we do it with knowledge and we put it to good use. We want to help people and see results. Well if we are to love ourselves as our neighbor then we need to see ourselves with what we need instead of without it. We need determination. God, our good Father, is asking us to do what He has spoken of in the Bible and anointed us to follow His instructions and see His results. I declare no more disconnect in Jesus name! He is waiting on us. Stand up in your authority, in Christ, start demanding the devil back off! Call for anything stolen to be returned 7 times. Speak to the spirit of lack to leave your life and finances! Call for abundance in your bank account. Call for a suitable well running vehicle to fill your garage space. Get rid of that rust bucket! Say after me,' My God shall supply all of my needs according to His riches in Glory by Christ Jesus."

Luke 6:38 " I give, and it will be given to me, good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over will be put into my bosom."

Psalm 112:3 "Wealth and riches will be in my house, and His righteousness in me endures forever."

2 Corinthians 9:6 "God is able to make all grace abound toward me, that I always having all sufficiency in all things, may have an abundance for every good work."

God's will for me is that I prosper and be in health even as my soul prospers. I will not forget any of all of your benefits.

The benefits have already been given at the new birth. I know it wasn't taught to you at Sunday school. I'm sorry for that. Kenneth Hagin didn't get invited to your church, mine neither! The Good News is, knowledge is coming to you now. God is pouring it out like never before! Look! God has already forgiven all of our sins. Ephesians 1:7"In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins," God has healed you 2000 plus years ago. Matthew 8:17 " that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Isaiah the prophet, saying:“He Himself took our infirmitiesand bore our sicknesses.” He has already commanded His blessing upon us and our finances Galatians 3:14 "That the blessing of Abraham might come upon the Gentiles in Christ Jesus, that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith." He has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in heavenly places, including the fruit of the Spirit, Love, Joy, Peace, Patience, Kindness, Faith, Hope. We are not waiting on God to show us some special favor. We need to start doing what He said to do. We already have those things we want, given at the New Birth. It is easier to take a hold of something you already have than to try and get it from Fed Ex! Many people are still waiting on this revelation! Waiting for God to do what He said but all the while He's already supplied it. Many give up and assume the Word didn't really mean it. Proverbs 13:22 "A good man leaves an inheritance to his children's children: and the wealth of the sinner is laid up for the just." Look, it's already laid up for us. We cannot begin from a position of unbelief and expect victory. We must start from the victory of the cross and defend what we already have!

Let's take a lesson from Andrew Wommack. Proverbs 18:21 says, “Death and life are in the power of the tongue” and begin to release this power over sickness and disease: say this: “I speak death to this sickness. I curse it and command it to leave. God, I speak the life that You’ve already put on the inside of me. I release it to flow through my body.” This is how you start cooperating with God.

We don't want to stop cooperating with what God has done! Remember, take what belongs to you by faith and defend, defend, defend! Since He has previously won the victory on the cross , that victory will be enough for you to overcome by faith all other enemy attempts to steal what God provided. If you weren't born wealthy, it does not mean you are destined to stay poor! In Christ Jesus we have promises fulfilled! We need to go after the enemy and apprehend those promises that belong to us which were stolen. What are the enemies of our faith? You have something to write with? Take note:

1. the generations past and the curses they put up with.

2. Parents who don't know any better.

3. Our own attitudes which are not from God.

4. Friends who don't encourage your faith.

5. Churches that don't teach faith, the new birth, the Blessing, the benefits, deliverance, healing, Baptism in the Holy Spirit, authority of the believer, identity in Christ, etc.

Notice, they are all people, including you! Choose well in life and you will be well! The Blessing of God is upon you, His people.
