(Wisdom Revelation)In order to be healed of some sickness or disorder, We have got to realize the spiritual and physical dynamics of what we are afflicted with, and God's way for us to get well, so that our understanding will be enlightened. Once knowledge becomes real to us through revelation of the Spirit, we can own it and use that to our defense and benefit. We can own a piece of the Rock. What rock are you talking about brother? I am talking about the rock of revelation knowledge Jesus spoke of in Matthew 7:24 Listen. "Everyone then who hears these words of mine and does them will be like a wise man who built his house on the rock." Matthew 7:25 Listen. "And the rain fell, and the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house, but it did not fall, because it had been founded on the rock." Matthew 7:26-27 Listen. "And everyone who hears these words of mine and does not do them will be like a foolish man who built his house on the sand. 27 And the rain fell, and the floods came, and the winds blew and beat against that house, and it fell, and great was the fall of it.”
What are we building our spiritual house on anyway? Rock is a metaphor in these verses telling us that if we build our spiritual foundation on Jesus words, our spiritual life can be unmovable by any forces physical or spiritual. Building on the Word of God foundation is wise. It is not the sinking sand of the world and it's ideas. I don't care how many internet references you can find to the contrary, it's still sinking sand!
We have to trust in the living God whom we cannot see and trust Him for eternal life, sins forgiven, and to get us through a life which He created on this Earth without any physical evidence. It takes the God kind of faith for us to do this. Where does Faith of God come from? Generally from God but more specifically from His Word. You see the written word was spoken first and then put on paper. His Word is still the living Word of God! Whether you heard it directly from God or read it off a page it has the same power to those who trust in Him. He is His Word! Jesus! Romans 10:17 says, “So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.” We access God’s faith through His Word. Once we have faith then what happens? Glad you asked. There is a missing component to our receiving from God in most sermons and it is something Love does. 1 Cor.13:7 says that "Love hopes all things." Strongs def :of hope is to hope, hope for, expect, or trust. Websters def : A desire of some good, accompanied with at least a slight expectation of obtaining it, or a belief that it is obtainable. Hope differs from wish and desire in this; that it implies some expectation of obtaining the good desired, or the possibility of possessing it. Hope therefore always gives pleasure or joy; whereas wish and desire may produce or be accompanied with pain and anxiety.
Romans 8:24-25 says, "For we are saved by hope: but hope that is seen is not hope: for why does a man still hope for what he now sees? But if we hope for that we see not, then do we with patience wait for it." Remember the word Patience? We taught on it last week , how faith and patience work together to bring about God's promises into manifestation? 1 Corinthians 13:4 "Love is patient, love is kind; but now in verse 13 it says, "But now faith, hope, and love remain, these three; but the greatest of these is Love." Hope is a part of Love , the greatest fruit of the Spirit.
Saint Paul talks about hope being in something we don't have yet and cannot see. We desire something not visible to our eyes but when it becomes visible we don't keep on hoping for it.
You may want a nice piece of land to own for hunting or recreation. Maybe your description is vague, like it has trees and slightly rolling hills, but you can't really envision it. But if you sit quietly somewhere and begin to think about this land eventually a picture will form not in front of your eyes but in your imagination. We usually consider this a product of our mind. Our mind does have something to do with this process because we first think it.
Did you know that you can see and think things with your heart? "For as he thinks in his heart, so is he." Proverbs 23:7
Something the Lord shared with me that really made this truth come alive is that hope is a positive imagination. (Andrew Wommack)
Because hope is a spiritual entity, a part of Love, we hope with our heart. We expect and hope for something we desire and even find it pleasurable to think about it within our heart. Being able to see things, as on a television screen, requires what we call the imagination. Interestingly the word imagination is used 20 times in the Bible. In other places the word mind is used and translated imagination. Isaiah 26:3, says, “You will keep him in perfect peace, whose mind or imagination is stayed on you: because he trusts in you.” Did you realize that our thoughts are in pictures? We don’t usually think in words, unless we see the words. Words produce pictures. Ok, example, "big fat hen on a nest." What did you see? Was the hen gray, black or white? How about the nest? Maybe you saw a Peacock in the nest. Was it in a tree or was it in a chicken coup? Somebody has a great imagination. Hard to think about something you cannot envision.
What else can your imagination do for you? Well, it is how you think, meditate, reason, understand, remember things, etc.etc. It would be difficult to function without it.
Now the connection. Can you have faith without an imagination? Let's go back to Isaiah 26:3 for a moment. it says, “You (God) will keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on you: because he trusts in you.” The word "stayed" there = fixed as in fixed on God. Fixed is for a period of time. Same as meditate on, a period of time. To meditate is to dwell on anything in thought; to contemplate; to study; to turn or revolve any subject in the mind; according to Websters. Ephesians 1:18.." having the eyes of your hearts enlightened, that you may know what is the hope to which he has called you." Could the "eyes of your heart" be what we see with? Does it see what is on the imagination screen?
When it comes to the promises of the Word, we are going to have to dwell on Bible Words. See them converted to pictures in our imaginations. Then by the very act of thinking about them over and over again in our hearts, we will see them grow and produce the life God intended for us. This will take some obedience. It might take some discipline but it is about your harvest. God joins us in this process. He is the one who causes growth. You know, first the blade, then the ear then the full corn in the ear!
You have to take the Word of God and let it excite your imagination. Then what God has told you becomes a vision on the inside of you, you will wait for it with patience (Romans 8:25).
So, turning the course of your life around is like steering an old ship at sea. Difficult, and it takes strength. but we can do it if it is by God's way. If we allow the rudder of the ship to go its own way, eventually some sort of disaster will occur. By using the Word of God as our guide, we can stay on course and reach our destination.
Giving up and letting your life just drift is a sign of depression. Being negative comes from bad things in our past. Hope can cure this with the help of patience. We don't want to keep dragging the negative memories into our future lest we pollute it with the same thing as we have now. Your imagination is just waiting for you to engage the process through seedtime and harvest, sowing and reaping, and especially viewing the screen of your imagination daily . You want control of your imagination and you want it now, believe me! You might notice a resistance in your endeavor to steer your ship in the right direction. Call it the devil, distraction , hopelessness, or whatever you see fit. God has given you the right to manage your own life the way you want. Make a decision now and begin the change.
Your imagination is like soil. Soil doesn’t care what kind of seed you plant in it; the moment it’s planted, the soil starts producing. It’s the same thing with your heart and your imagination. Your imagination will conceive something it is focused on and automatically start making it come to pass, whether it’s positive or negative. Acts 5:4 "why hast thou conceived this thing in thine heart?" Let the Word of God paint a picture on the inside. You need insight, or sight inside, into your future. Ephesians 1:18 "having the eyes of your hearts enlightened, that you may know what is the hope to which he has called you, what are the riches of his glorious inheritance in the saints." If you can't see it on the inside you won't likely see it on the outside.
What is the hope to which He has called you? Eternal life? Yes. Salvation in all its forms? Yes. Healing of disease? Yes
Take the promises of God, sow, Meditate and dwell on them, Holy Spirit will breathe on them, inspire them to keep that hope alive and you won't be discouraged. It is God who supplies this hope.
Other words can paint a picture of things opposite of what God told you and turn you negative about the future. Fear can cause us to project evil into the future. We should not see problems in future and be expecting them. Because we remember things with our imagination it would be helpful to us to start remembering the good things the Lord has done for us.
Philippians 1:20 "According to my earnest expectation and my hope, that in nothing I shall be ashamed."
Hebrews 6:19 "Which hope we have as an anchor of the soul, both sure and steadfast, and which enters into that within the veil; " (the heart)
Psalm 31:24 "Be of good courage, and he shall strengthen your heart, all ye that hope in the Lord."
Romans 15:4 "For whatsoever things were written aforetime were written for our learning, that we through patience and comfort of the scriptures might have hope."
Matthew 22:37 "Love the Lord thy God;" imagination is involved in Loving God with your whole mind.
Joshua 1:8 "This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success." observe = keep, watch, preserve
Psalm 1:2 "But his delight is in the law of the Lord; and in his law doth he meditate day and night."
Psalm 77:12 "I will meditate also of all thy work, and talk of thy doings."
Take what God is speaking to you and start meditating on it until you can see the way forward.
Did Jesus see people He would heal in advance? Some scripture seems to indicate this.
The difference is that faith is now; hope is always in the future. And there’s a reason for that.
Hope is that expectancy that keeps our faith alive until what we’re believing for comes.
Faith is always now, as stated in Hebrews 11:1 “Now faith is the substance of things hoped for....” Faith gives our hope substance. Faith says you receive when you pray (Mark 11:24). Faith is in the heart. Hope keeps your faith alive until those things you are believing for are pulled from the spiritual realm into the natural. KCM
Why do we need all three? Well, faith is not the same thing as hope. And, it isn’t the same as love. God is Love. Hope is expectancy. Faith is the substance of things hoped for. And all three are connected.
You may think you have hope for your situation, but is it natural hope or Bible hope? Real Bible hope involves supernatural expectancy. The kind of hope the Word of God talks about is much stronger than natural hope because it’s not based on wishing or wanting. It is based on your covenant with God and the anointing God has provided to carry out that covenant in your life.
Hope comes when you begin to see yourself with what God has promised you, instead of seeing yourself without it. If you’ve grown weary while standing in faith for God’s promises, don’t give up! You can renew your hope, so that you have faith and strength to receive everything God has promised you.
The blueprint of faith is hope. We have all of God inside us. Hebrews 11:1 "Now faith is the spiritual substance of things hoped for …the evidence of things not seen." Faith receives from the spiritual realm and brings it into the natural. We need to build faith before we need it Philippians 1:19 "according to my earnest expectation and hope." Hope has strong expectancy but not substance like faith. Faith is the manifestation. It takes power to cause physical change. Mark 11:25 "And when you stand praying, forgive, if ye have anything against any: that your Father also which is in heaven may forgive you your trespasses."
Process-
What do I Need? - Healing. Research the Bible for scriptures (promises)which talk about God's supernatural healing for His people.
· Seek the Lord/ work on your relationship with Him
· Find 1 or 2 scriptures (or more) which you feel the Holy Spirit has highlighted to you.
· Begin to read and think about these verses, (Meditate on them) letting them produce pictures in your imagination.
· Give place to the "eyes of your heart" to search out and develop truth that pertains to your situation as the Holy Spirit reveals things to you.
· Hope comes when you begin to see (with the eyes of your heart), on the screen of your imagination yourself healed of your disease.
· You will know it is Hope because you will stop seeing yourself as sick. You will develop expectancy that will ignite the faith of God within you!
· Be encouraged because Faith needs Hope to get to the finish line. So you are on the right track!
· Ask the Lord for an anointing of patience to gird up your faith and see it to victory.
· As you are confident, begin to declare the truth of God's Word out loud so you can hear it. Speak with your authority and confidence what the Word has provided you.
· Continue, looking to Jesus the author and finisher of your faith
