(Delivering Revelation) *Satan seeks to kill us by preventing us from believing and having faith in God's Word. If that doesn't work "it" has other sin related devices (snares) or dead works to try and lead us into, which are pathways to our destruction. The tricks of the enemy are many but the Lord our God is greater in every way than our enemy. His ways are higher. His knowledge is greater - by light years. Did you know God delivers people in advance? I kind of suspected this but I heard John Paul Jackson say this once and knew it is true. God does this for His people most times without us knowing about it! Can you say, "He's a good God!"

Deliverance - Websters def. - 1. Release from captivity, slavery, oppression, or any restraint. Jesus did this. Paul and the gang did this. Many people do this now, in our time. We get to walk in Jesus ministry if we want.

Luke 4:18 He hath sent me to heal the broken-hearted, to preach deliverance to the captives. Jesus preached deliverance to the captives. But He also cast out the spirits with His Words. Psalm 107:20 says, " He sent His Word, and healed them, and delivered them from their destructions. (Strongs defines this as a pit fall, or destructions). 3 Key words here- Preached, deliverance, destructions. We need to see what this is all about.

The first thought I have when Luke says, "He preached deliverance to the captives," was that His Word is God's delivering agent. So then the multitudes Jesus preached to were delivered and healed by His Words. Some places all heard and received and were set free. Some places not so many. In preaching deliverance, the power of God was released, the act of receiving the Word took place and people were healed, and delivered from their destructions. The power of God is being released tonight as you hear and receive this Word of your freedom!

So under the category of "what do we need to be delivered from" write the word "destructions." Anything which causes destruction. Or any pit in which we find ourselves. Part of the Websters def. of deliverance is to "Rescue from danger or any evil." Strongs meaning is "to slip away" NASB expounds more, certainly rescue , deliver, delivered, escape, escaped, escapes , get away, rescued , saved. These two words (deliverance and destructions ) are connected.

What do you think of this statement, "The fireman rescued them from a burning building." Some place they did not want to be and could not get out of by themselves. I'm not claiming this to be a definition, only a word picture.

The righteousness of the upright will deliver them, But the unfaithful will be caught by their lust. Strong's def. is desire, chasm, destruction. Sin evidently brings destruction. Ok, under the word destructions put the words sin and "lust." From hava' (in the sense of eagerly coveting and rushing upon; by implication, of falling); desire; also ruin - calamity, iniquity, mischief, mischievous (thing), naughtiness, naughty, noisome, perverse thing, substance, very wickedness.

What other things or (demons) could we put under the heading of destructions? Remember these are things or (demons) people need to be delivered from. I have made a list of a few things which qualify as destructions in case you are into lists. Ready? Sickness, mental issues, suicidal thoughts, addictions, depression, unloving, occult, accusation, fearful, obese, bitterness, poverty. It is only a short list. If you want to look at a long list you will have to go to the Gene Moody deliverance manual.

What Else Can Deliver us?

In Proverbs, righteousness, knowledge, mouth of the upright, walking wisely, a true witness

Proverbs 2:10-12 - When wisdom enters your heart, And knowledge is pleasant to your soul, 11 Discretion will preserve you; Understanding will keep you,12 To deliver you from the way of evil,

Prov. 3 Keep the commands of the Lord, do not let mercy and truth forsake you, trust in the Lord with all your heart, fear the Lord with all your heart, fear the Lord and depart from evil, honor the Lord with your possessions , do not despise the correction of the Lord

Prov. 4 My son, give attention to my words; Incline your ear to my sayings. 21 Do not let them depart from your eyes; Keep them in the midst of your heart; 22 For they are life to those who find them, And health to all their flesh. deliverance in advance!

Prov. 5 Stay away from immoral women or men

Prov. 6 Do not become one who guarantees a loan of a friend or anyone else!

Preventing Faith in the Word

The enemy of our life is said to be an intelligent spirit, capable of doing anything "it" can pull off. Severely twisted and unseen, (they can see us) these thug beasts roam the veiled spirit realm in search of whom it may devour. "Whom" in this context describes someone vulnerable, maybe Christian, maybe not. People in general are in a weakened condition since the Garden. As it was then, so now. Weakening was due to choosing a wrong spiritual leader. We hopefully made the right choice for the One Creator of all things. Even though we have born again spirits, our ancestors might not have and left us with all their junk when they died. Sometimes issues pop up in our mind causing us to question our new birth and all the glory we have experienced. Guess where the questions came from. You got it, the same bozo which asked Eve, "Hath God indeed said?" They should have said, "You eat the fruit, bozo I was not born last night!" Making wrong choices is what happens sometimes especially in the politic realm. We maybe were born again years ago but no one enlightened us as to this enemy we have. There is a learning curve in the road to life called renewal of the mind. First we learn about God and then the enemy. Hey I'm from Oakland, and I want to know who and what this dude is and where he hangs out! Check it out, God knows everything! Well hopefully some of the blanks are being filled in.

So how does the hater of my soul prevent faith in God's Word?

Mark 4 has filled in many knowledge gaps I've had over the years, so I thought to share this with you. Remember the old saying, "An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure?" Both sides believe this!

Mark 4:14 The sower sows the Word. 15 And these are they by the wayside, where the Word is sown; but when they have heard, satan comes immediately, and takes away the Word that was sown in their hearts - Why? They won't have time to think about it and meditate on it, grow roots and produce fruit. The enemy was able to come immediately and steal (prevent) the Word from putting down roots. Why? Matthew 13:19 When anyone hears the Word of the kingdom, and does not understand it, then the wicked one comes and snatches away what was sown in his heart. Bingo, you listened, heard the Word preached and because you didn't give it another thought it was stolen immediately. The enemy is a thought thief and interrupter.

Mk 4:16 And these are they likewise which are sown on stony ground; who, when they have heard the Word, immediately receive it with gladness;

17 And have no root in themselves, and so endure but for a time: afterward, when affliction or persecutionarises for the Word's sake, immediately they are offended or (stumble). What caused the affliction, persecution, and offense? Devil "it". Why was "it" able to bring affliction or persecution? There was no root in them.

18 And these are they which are sown among thorns; such as hear the Word,

19 And the cares of this world, and the deceitfulness of riches, and the lusts of other things entering in, choke the Word, and it becomes unfruitful. (over time)

*What are we looking for when we sow the Word of God? Fruit. What is the devil trying to prevent from happening? Fruit bearing.

20 And these are they which are sown on good ground; such as hear the Word, and receive it, (Matthew says understands it) and bring forth fruit, some thirtyfold, some sixty, and some an hundred. What makes the difference? The ground! It is the total difference. It is that in farming and in things spiritual! The reference to good ground in this verse indicates that the other grounds were not good soil to plant the Word of God in.

Look at verses 23 and 24

23 If any man have ears to hear, let him hear. (Is inclined to hear)

24 And he said unto them, Take heed (pay attention) to what you hear: with what measure you measure, it shall be measured (back) to you: and unto you that hear shall more be given.

25 For he that has, to him shall be given: and he that has not, from him shall be taken even that which he has.

Look what Matthew 13:10-13 says! And the disciples came and said to Him, “Why do You speak to them in parables?”

11 He answered and said to them, “Because it has been given to you to know the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven, but to them it has not been given. 12 For whoever has, to him more will be given, and he will have abundance; (Why? because the Word of God produces more seed along with the fruit just like natural fruit. More seed equals more harvest.) But whoever does not have, even what he has will be taken away from him. 13 Therefore I speak to them in parables, because seeing they do not see, and hearing they do not hear, nor do they understand.

Mark 4:26 And he said, So is the kingdom of God, as if a man should cast seed into the ground; (of his heart)

27 And should sleep, and rise night and day, and the seed should spring and grow up, he knows not how.28 For the earth (heart) brings forth fruit of herself; first the blade, then the ear, after that the full corn in the ear. Revelation! Life producing faith in the Word brought it to pass into the earth realm!

We need to look at Matthew13:18-23 in comparison with Mark 4:14-20.

A little more insight is gained in Matthew.

In the Matthew version he uses the phrase, "he who received the seed by the wayside, and he who received the seed on stony places, or he who received the seed among the thorns, or he who received seed on the good ground.

We need to ask ourselves do we have the inclination desire to listen to the Word? Are we hearing the Word with our hearts? Understanding the Word? Receiving the seed of the Word of the Kingdom? Bearing fruit , 30, 60 or100 fold?

If we are not listening to and understanding the Word, if roots aren't growing to anchor our souls, causing us to stumble, or give up, if the worlds cares and deceitfulness are preventing growth, then it might be time to till up the fallow ground of the heart. Hosea 10:12

Put Yourself in the Receiving Mode

What is the will of God? Jesus talked about doing the Fathers will in the book of John among other places.

John 4:34 Jesus said to them, “My food is to do the will of Him who sent Me, and to finish His work.

John 14:23 Jesus answered and said to him, “If anyone loves Me, he will keep My Word; and My Father will love him, and We will come to him and make Our home with him.

If God's Word is His covenant with us (and He cannot lie) then we need to engage it in our lives. Did anyone keep God's will (Word) better than Jesus?

Example please: John 6:40 And this is the will of Him who sent Me, that everyone who sees the Son and believes in Him may have everlasting life; and I will raise him up at the last day.”

The promises of God are only one aspect of His will for mankind. I do not want to go into the endless trail of every aspect. The promises of God being written in scripture are as scripture says, "yes and Amen" to those that believe. Do you want to receive something from the Lord? Then find what He says about it and start to study it until understanding comes. The more you understand and cross reference with different scriptures about what you want, the greater your belief will be and the closer you will come to faith which is necessary to receive the promise and manifest it in the earth. Developing a hunger for God's way of doing things can be beneficial to knowing other aspects of God's will for you. Faith in God grows as we exercise it. One day you are believing for lunch money and then perhaps clothes, a Bible, a job, a car, phone, etc. Growth comes as we exercise our faith muscle by trusting in Him. Learn not to limit the Creator!

In Mark 4 and Matthew 13 we see the righteousness of God's way of sowing and reaping. This applies to everything involving life and Godliness.

If you want to see yourself with something you can! God gives you permission! John 14:13 And whatever you ask in My name, that I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. 14 If you ask anything in My name, I will do it. Did God Lie? Then ask and you shall receive. Seek and you will find. Knock and it will be opened to you. But remember faith in the Word is the way. You are a sower. Start sowing into your own heart. Begin seeing with the eyes of your heart. Listen with the ears of your heart for the voice of the Master. We need to hear from Him, He has the details of life. Trust the Holy Spirit to guide you into all truth. Your footsteps are ordered by the Lord, so be confident. You are not on your own so stop acting like it.

Boy am I being bossy! They call me boss man at work. I don't know why, I work by myself.

No matter what anybody else calls you make sure you call yourself what your Father calls you, like blessed, whole, delivered, redeemed from the curse, washed by the blood of the Lamb, prosperous, filled with Holy Spirit, Love, Joy, Peace, Patience, Kindness, Hope, and Eternal life!
